My son's 4 year old Gateway laptop had been going off and turning black spontaneously. PC EMT ran a diagnostic for a set fee and seemed to temporarilly fix the problem but the laptop kept doing it every few weeks, so they probably checked it 4 more times for no additional fees. Finally, the last time John recommended we consider a new laptop by emachines because further attempts at fixing the Gateway might not even work . Might as well get a brand new updated system. I took my daughter's laptop in when the screen would not light up anymore. It was a simple inverter chip and they put it in and gave it back to me within the hour! Very professional and great customer service.
