Edit - Spoke to Donna at Payne and it seems there was a miscommunication with how the warranty works - they have offered to come out and fix the issue for us free of charge as it should have been covered from the beginning. Glad we are able to recommend this company once again as we have always had excellent service in the past. We purchased the "warranty" from Payne Air Conditioning & Heating in March of 2022 for the amount of $1,000 which was to cover parts and labor on our unit for a 10 year time span. What a relief to get such quick, professional service! Following a referral from our neighbor, I phoned Payne Tuesday afternoon and the technician was at our house early Wednesday morning. Carson quickly diagnosed the problem with our heat pump and made the necessary repair. It's now working perfectly. We will be calling on Payne again. Thank you for your prompt response!

On Monday Jan 6, I call for service. Jon come over. After diagnostic he told me my transformer broke so we had a fix (350). But the next morning it broke again. So here come Rag after 4hrs diagnosis he told me my contactor broke. Another 100 to fix. But he didn’t give me any receipt. What ever he did the writing with the thermostat. Now the fan keep going none stop. So I call Wednesday the 3rd time. This time David another guy came over and he said my thermostat got broke. I was on a 2x / yr preventative maintenance plan with Payne. During my one and only year on this plan, I was charged $175 for the plan, then they serviced my A/C in March and "found no issues". Less than 60 days later I began having filter issues and they came out to conduct routine maintenance on the unit and charged me an additional $100+ for something that should have been taken care of in the preventative maintenance plan I was already paying for.
