RecommendedWhen we went to Portland for my 40th birthday trip, I researched the most “Portland” things to do - I wanted to find things that were unique, interesting, weird. Paxton Gate was at the top of my must-see list... and it was my favorite! You could spend days wandering around and looking at the curiosities. The staff is amazing and helpful, truly engaged in helping you. We are headed back to PDX in November, and Paxton Gate was first on my list!

This store is amazing! I am a preschool teacher looking to add to my science table. Rebecca was so helpful, helping me pick out insects and butterflies. The guy that works in the rock section was also super helpful! I found some great things for my school and have a huge wish list started. I would recommend this ace to any teachers looking for science or nature items. I’ll be back!
