I've been going to Paws of Pleasanton for about two years, and unfortunately, I'm done. Yes, the office is fancy and the staff is friendly, but the constant upselling and extremely high prices have become too much. One recent example: they recommended a dental cleaning for my dog with an estimate that went upwards of **$2,200**. I called other local vets and was quoted roughly **$600-$800 for a comparable procedure**. Very knowledgeable and professional staff. Excellent service. Reasonable prices. Takes great care of your pet. Payments plans are also accepted through Care credit, if needed.
Paws of Pleasanton is THE BEST!! We are treated like family from the moment we walk through the doors. The front desk greets us with smiles and friendliness. The docs are so kind and caring. They get right down on my pups level to talk to her. They don't try to upsell unnecessary treatment.

Place was great in 2021. Free nail trims and baby food to distract your dog for blood draws. Stuff like that. Over time those went away and price increased. Seemed like the caring vets left. But the big issue was getting vet scammed. I asked about removing my dogs anal gland cause it leaks all the time and stinks. Vet said they don’t like to remove them due to possible complications later and I should just do a rinse/flush which will probably fix everything.
