Very unprofessional place my dad was scheduled for 11am they told him dont eat knowing he is diabetic because of surgery he doesn’t get seen till 2pm when he gets back there they say he cant have surgery yet cause his sugar low of course he cant cause he has not eaten anything cause you guys told him not to. Also ppl who were scheduled after him was going before him.
Admission and registration was smooth. Staff was friendly. 1st time eye surgery my mom was not prepared for a copay, 2nd time we were prepared for the co pay. 1st time we received a kit with eye shield, sunglasses for light sensitivity and little tape to keep shield on, 2nd time the kit was not given. It was. 1st time kit. My suggestion would be to create a prep list for the client so they would not be expecting this kit when returning to the center for a second procedure months later.
I was having the cararact surgery on my left eye and the nurse prepared my right arm for the anestesia, however, the anesthesiologist decided to use my left hand for the anestesia. It was very painful. I told him that the right arm was already prepared, he completely ignored me. Im not sure if I want to use this facility again for my right eye. The veins from both of my arms are both very healthy, using the hand for the intravenous is the last resort.
Dr. Brottman is a sweetheart and the nurses were exceptional! Waiting area is clean and comfortable. We highly recommend.
