Dr. Wilkes saved my life after another doctor messed up a D&C. He saved my life once again after my son’s placenta was not ideal for natural birth. We then cried over a loss but went on to have my beautiful daughter whom I named after him. So to say I think this man is the most amazing human ever when it comes to babies is not enough. The staff in his office are heavenly, and I cannot say enough good things about them all.
After suffering a traumatic second trimester loss, Dr. Wilkes treated me throughout my second pregnancy with care, compassion and empathy. I always felt that I was in good hands and trusted him wholeheartedly throughout the journey. He made such a positive impact during a high anxiety and stressful time. He delivered my rainbow baby at full term - happy and healthy!
There are no words to say how amazing Dr. Wilkes is! The care that he showed through 2 of my pregnancies was so far beyond my expectations. So my story begins with over 10 years of infertility. I could not sustain a pregnancy, so we went the IVF route. After finally getting pregnant, and making it past the 8 week mark, I searched high and low for the best MFM in the area and came across Dr. Wilkes at Desert Perinatal Associates. This review is LONG overdue, as Dr. Wilkes is the best doctor I have ever encountered. Dr. Wilkes first met me on Halloween of 2019 when he had to tell me that I had a silent miscarriage. It was the worst day of my life, but his bedside manner was some of the best I have ever come across - he hugged me, spent time with me consoling me and let me cry and seemed to care deeply and empathize with me. Let me just this all the staff at all the locations are amazing from making appointments and walking into to the office they are kind and great customer service. Dr Wilkes is amazing he wears his heart on his sleeve and truly cares about his patients and does everything he can to help the mother and the baby. Best doctor I have ever had! I would highly recommend him to any high risk pregnancy patient! I would give him 10 stars if I could! He made me feel like family my entire pregnancy!
I saw Dr Willes when I was pregnant with my son. I am a Registered Nurse and I know he is the specialist that sees other doctors (or their wife’s). I know of patients who have come from out of state to see him because they were told their baby would not survive. I’ve witnessed him save both mom and baby. There isn’t anyone better (he does say his partner is equally as good.) I refered my sister and anyone I care about. He’s amazing and gifted. Thank You Dr. Wilkes for all you do.
I recommend Dr. Wilkes to every single one of my friends, there is no better doctor. He treats you like you and your growing baby are the most important people in the world. He answers every question thoroughly and is honest when you need to worry and when you’re just causing yourself excess stress
