It’s important to properly maintain your gutters and downspouts. Make sure the gutters remain clear and in good condition. Gutters and downspouts that properly route water away can help prevent any damage to your roof foundation.

While trees provide shade and wind protection for houses, branches should not be allowed to overhang or graze a roof. They can scratch and damage shingles or break and damage a large part of the roof.

Metal roofs are usually more expensive, but they come with several other advantages. They can withstand severe weather conditions like snow, strong winds, hail, and heavy rain, and they also act as fire protection, which is especially important in high-fire areas.

Metal roofing may make a tinkling sound when it rains, but it has lots of non-musical attributes, too. Metal is a very long lasting roofing material. With people staying in their homes longer, installing a roof with a 20 to 30 year effective life can be pretty appealing.
