Absolutely! Unbelievable! My 93 yo grandma was admitted to the behavior unit! She is extremely frail, 73 pounds, partially blind, congestive heart failure, very limited mobility, dementia/ delirium symptoms (they come and go); — She is the sweetest, most compliant and non combative lady you will ever meet!! How in the world a POA is allowed to have this much power, to go against and disregard family wishes and a medical doctor’s recommendation and send her to a behavioral lockdown unit is sickening!!! And for a psych doctor ... read more

Totally disappointed with services on the psych floor of St Francis Muskogee. Total medical care was disregarded over their specified care of psychological issues. Dr. Mathews only made one call to me to discuss issues with a guardianship/friend over 10 days in the St Francis system. I made multiple calls to him. My guardianship/friend passed away 6 days after leaving the hospital. Complications incountered on the psych floor contributed to his death.
