Dr Ahearne performed my melanoma/lymph node biopsy surgery which went very, very well. His professionalism in the pre-op visit to explain the procedure and answers to my many questions relieved my anxiety. Further explanations and Dr. Ahearne’s demeanor on the day of the surgery further calmed my anxiety.
Taking everything into consideration, first visit, counseling, patient relationship, surgery prep, post surgical hospital visits, Dr. Ahearne represents the finest of the medical profession. I would recommend him without qualification. Top notch. Would never consider another surgeon, if the need arose.

Excellent and compassionate care. Dr. Ahearne explained everything that was going to occur beforehand, was very patient with all of our questions and didn’t rush us.
This review is of Dr. Ahearne and his staff. From the first visit with Dr. Ahearne, you will experience knowledge, kindness and compassion. Even during a time of pandemic/mask wearing, this still comes through. The staff is cheerful and accommodating. We fell in love with Amy and Krystal. Those two were great finds and go above and beyond. Don't worry, you are in great hands here.
Dr. Ahearne is an excellent surgeon. Dr. Ahearne’s explanation of what the surgery consisted of was of great value to me. Dr. Ahearne and his staff visited me every day while at Mission hospital, all the nurses and Doctors at Mission Hospital treated me with respect, all ways there to help me at all times of the day or night. I highly recommend Dr. Ahearne and his staff because of their excellent treatment.
I would like to applaud Dr. Paul Ahearne and his team, Amy and Kristal. I had surgery for a melanoma on my forearm Jan. 7. We had been well educated about the treatments and were given great encouragement. These three were very compassionate, caring, understanding, and extremely competent. In follow-up visits we were cared by and given reassurances that the healing would continue. If you ever need cancer treatment I hope that you will find a team that is this outstanding. It has been 3 years since my ischemic colitis surgery which removed 1/3 of my intestine. I just wanted to say "thank you" for the wonderful job you did. I have been pain free without ER visits since the surgery. God Bless you Dr. Ahearne!
I was diagnosed with a malignant melanoma and totally in a panic since I have never experienced any health issues. I was referred to Dr Ahearne by my dermatologist. I found immediate comfort with Dr Ahearne’s compassionate bedside matter and his calming and highly efficient delivery of care. Each of his team members, including nurses, PA, and office staff, delivered the same excellent level of service to me. I would definitely recommend he and his staff to anyone in need of surgery.
