Treated me like i was bothering him.afyer he and his team ghosted.me at the hospitals after tell me.for 2 days I needed surgery. Stated that my other doctors didn't know what they were talking about. Rude, uncaring and could.not give a good reason for not doing a procedure other than, ' it's friday' 3 days in the hospital and being sent home without surgery.
We liked Dr Tooney very well. He answered any questions we had and was very pleasant and polite
I had Dr Rooney for my surgery after cancer. He had stepped in when my original surgeon unfortunately passed away. He was kind, very pleasant, very efficient and his assistant Paige Carruthers were a fantastic team. He is extremely knowledgeable and he took the time to answer questions and explain everything to me. I am very fortunate to have had his expertise. I would recommend him and his associate to anti evil need of an excellent surgeon.
I was referred to Dr. Toomey by the staff of another beloved local surgeon who recently passed away. His resume is impressive, with a Degree in Biomedical Engineering and Medical School training from Univ. of Fla. He excels at the new technology available and is highly regarded by his colleagues here in Bradenton. He did a great job performing the robotic assisted laparoscopic bilateral inguinal hernia repair on me at Manatee Memorial hospital recently. He was easy to talk to, and listened to all my concerns. I first met Dr Toomey in the Blake er, which brought him in as a consult. He determined that I needed laporascopic surgery and carried it out all the way. I ended up being just fine with almost no recovery time. He is one of the very best doctors I have ever met. His staff was extremely caring, with outstanding post-surgical follow- up.
I need a procedure done that I know for a fact can be done without being put to sleep! He absolutely refuses to help me ; says it can't be done without being put to sleep; I have a friend who had it done without anesthesia and my research says it can be however he chooses to let me suffer ! Not caring at all ; would never recommend him

I had an appointment today and was forced to walk out without being evaluated. Dr Toomey refused to wear a mask in the exam room with me despite my request and their policy at the desk saying they would wear one upon patient request. Due to having a pregnant wife and the risk of complications with pregnancies and covid, I asked Dr Toomey to wear a mask after he entered the room. He declared his vaccination status and refused.
