Must be overrated – In general. Food was average and the sauce really bad. Must be canned by the taste. Service was not horrible but not great either.
Very Disappointing! – We've been to Patsy's before, service slow, but good, and food was ususally good as well. I work in the restaurant biz, chef. Last time we went, had my chef coat on, service was excellent, as well as the food. Tonight, we went for a late dinner. We were seated quickly, greeted by a very nice waitress whom took our drink and app order. 10 minutes go by, bartender seemed more interested in their friends at the bar. Five more minutes go by, app comes out, and still no drinks. App, fried ravioli, was semi-c... read more
Best pizza in town! – As an east coast pizza fan I've had the hardest time finding a good place in Denver for a pizza pie until now. The new pizzeria at Patsy's has nailed it. The crust is perfected. Not too thick, not soggy or too crisp. Just perfect. I highly recommend 'the Presidente' with sausage. They also serve up a mighty tasty bambino. (miniature sausage canoli). Must try!!!
Not bad, but wouldn't pay again – So we are always looking for good places to eat, and the food was average. I got the chicken marsala and the sauce was way to thick for the noodles. My boyfriend got the chicken parmasean, and even though that's not my favorite - it was still pretty good. The homemade noodles ARE delicious though! I would definitely come back and eat here, but not pay for it....
Great place for lunch – This was a great diamond in the rough! I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a great homemade Italian meal.
Great times at Patsy's – This was the first time that we had ever gone to Patsy's. We read the reviews prior to going and almost didn't go. THANK GOD WE DIDN'T PAY ATTENTION TO THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS!!!!!!!! We encountered nothing but excellent service, FABULOUS, well priced food and the an overall awesome night. My father insists that the food is just as good "if not better" than it was in 1963, the last time he was there. My entire family and I HIGHLY recommend Patsy's and will definately be back regularly. Grazie! FYI try t... read more
great food, abysmal service at the bar – I have always enjoyed the food at Patsy's. The service in the restaurant has always been reasonable but I was horrified by the service that I encountered while sitting at the bar one evening. We opted to eat at the bar rather than wait for a table one evening. The bartendered was an older woman who I think has been working there for a very long time, apparently long enough that she thinks she can treat patrons horribly and get away with it. She ignored us when we tried to order our dr... read more
A throw back – We have gone to Patsy's many times over the years and were surprised by the negative reviews. So, we wanted to see if it had really gone down hill. From what we can tell, everything is the same. I don't claim to be an expert on Italian food, but, I thought the food was really good. I have tried the others in the area and I think they make some of the best pasta which I think is saying a lot considering The Highlands used to be the old Italian area. We didn't know what to think of their home made noodles when w... read more
A meal I hope to forget. – I figured the last couple reviews were just bad luck - the place still has a good reputation, and besides - it was listed in a recent Westword "Best Of". Boy was that a mistake. The bread was good. The Garlic Bread was even better, but really - a monkey could make garlic bread. I got the old fashioned (or something) spaghetti. Noodles were overdone & watery, and the sauce was bland and seemed to be filled with nothing more than pureed meat product. Seriously, the first thing that came to mind when ... read more
