Dr Patrick Bering is a knowledgeable cardiologist who includes my input in decision making. He is kind and personable. I have great confidence in his knowledge and expertise.
I waited over four months to get an appointment with Dr Bering and it took two hours to get to him, but it was worth it. I have been to countless doctors, had 72 blood tests as well as left and right heart catherizations, 5 echos, 4 cat scans, a cardiac MRI, etc etc etc. And finally found a Doctor willing to go through the results with me, give me possible diagnoses and dispel some of the ones I have been told and take lots of prescription drugs for. It was a pleasure for me and my wife Mehbooba to see Dr. Bering. In Dr. Bering, we found not only a good doctor but also a very good human being as depicted by his mannerism and attention to all aspects of my wife's cardiovascular issues, followed by his advice regarding the future course of action for treatment to ensure appropriate management of her cardiovascular issues
Dr. Bering did my TEE. He's respectful, competent, and funny. I had a TEE before at another hospital. No fun. Very sore throat. Knocked out and nauseous. But Dr. Bering and his team put me at ease. I felt they used as few drugs as possible so that I was fully alert when they were done. No sore throat. Well, maybe a tad. But I didn't even need motrin. He and his staff were truly patient.
