PHC was incredible. I've heard about a lot of other colleges after graduating and I'm beyond grateful I went to PHC. God used the school, studies, students, and professors there to ground me, guide me, protect me, uplift me, challenge me, break me. I wouldn't be who I am today without it. I'm really grateful for everything I went through there. Also, they have an AMAZING physics professor. Everyone should go shake his hand. Because he's the coolest. :) (love you, Dad).
Excellent, rigorous, Christ-centered classical education. PHC prepares its students for a lifetime of learning.
Imperfect. But if I had to do it all again, I'd do it again in a heartbeat. 4.5 if I could give it.
Humanity is imperfect, so all of our institutions are also imperfect. However, Patrick Henry is full of intelligent, open-minded (no, conservatism does not preclude that, nor are all students conservative), compassionate people. There are bad apples in every barrel, but you would be hard put to find a school with a higher concentration of genuinely caring and nurturing individuals seeking to grow and to help others to grow.
The wonderful professors here taught me many life lessons and my job is directly related to what I learned at PHC from Dr. Haynes. I am well respected in the community for having gone to Patrick Henry College. I made lifelong friends who helped me through my four years at school and continue to help me through the rest of life's challenges. I am so thankful for this school and I pray that it will continue to succeed!
A quality classical liberal arts education? Check. Professors who actually care for and invest in students? Check. A strong focus on getting jobs and internships while in college so that you already have relevant job experience when graduating? Check. A vibrant spiritual community filled with lots of godly Christians? Check. 9.5/10; would attend again.
