Lived in one of his Whittier properties for 1 year and 7 months. We signed a 12 month lease which ended in February. There wasn't an new contract created or any verbal agreements past the termination of the contract. We continued to pay rent until we notified Patrick of our move out date at the end of October. Landlord is now keeping our deposit and charging additional $500 for re-painting the apartment. Also charging us for leaving before the "3 year life span of paint". Horrible experience, lived in one of his apartments complexes for over 2 years. Left the place in good condition. I didn't break the contract at any point of me living there and now they are trying to charge me $500 on top of my deposit for leaving. Our contract ended 2/15/23 and no other exsiting contract was put in place. Technically speaking, i did not have any obligation to stay as we left 10/31/2023, after the contract expired. So this company is stealing $2600 from me because they feel like they can. Truly disappointed... read more
