Dr Avery did my cataract surgery in December and I have not seen this good in years I was very nervous considering that I'm blind in one eye due to having a detached retina but the doctor made me feel at ease him and the staff at South Texas surgical hospital to great care of me and I am grateful for Dr Avett

My husband called this morning about an appointment later this week.He had me by the speaker phone and we waited several minutes and were cut off without any answer.He called back this afternoon(5-4-20)at 4:15 on speaker phone and the person answering said "please hold"and never came back after 10 minutes.He called again,and was cut off again the same way.He called a FOURTH time on speakerphone and a guy from an answering service answered who was a poor listener.By then,my husband was fuming about the "no excuse for horrendo... read more

Moved away from the Corpus area almost a year ago. Didn't realize what a great doctor I had until I now have to replace him. With so many doctors eager to do surgeries it's nice to have a doctor who is patient, monitor's a situation and has equipment to manage a glaucoma patient very well.

Did this provider use excessive foul language? Not at all! They are always respectful and courteous! Does this provider always take that extra step to make you feel special? Yes, I always enjoy my appointments How would you compare this provider to others in his/her field that you have visited? Among the best I have seen Did the staff make you feel uncomfortable when you called with questions or concerns? Not at all! They were happy to address every concern I had Was this provider's office too loud? No, it wasn't too loud

No, I felt confused and uneasy when I left Was this provider's office easy to locate? Fairly Easy Are you going to visit this provider again? Only if I couldn't find a better substitute

They answered most of my questions but I could have used more information. Their staff was not that friendly, and didn't go out of their way to make me feel welcome. An assistant cut short my visit with the doctor so I wasn't able to get all my questions answered.
