After seeing her for several years, I finally wised up. She comes across as confident and knowledgeable, but behind the facade she is really just going through the motions. She has her own agenda, does not follow up with test results, and sees more patients than she has time for. I switched to a naturopath at Northwestern, and learned what excellent care really is.

I have been a patient of Dr. Merwick for 20 years. She is very knowledgeable and caring. I have also seen Dr. O'Meara and Nurse Practitioner Janice Arguss; both are also knowledgeable and caring. I highly recommend this practice.
I've seen Dr. Merwick (Dr. O'Meara when she's out) and both are very knowledgeable and take the time for proper examinations and/or concerns. If anything needs to be researched, they do it immediately on their hand held devise. Nowadays for a "well check up", the cost is $-0- how beautiful is that?
Our family has always received great care. Both Dr. Merwick and O'Meara will spend as much time as necessary answering questions. They do tend to run late occasionally but it's worth it to have a Dr that will spend more time with you and we attribute the occasional long wait to be due to someone else needing more time than expected.
Dr. Merwick is kind, thorough, and takes her time with the exam and questions. I have never been rushed out like other drs. I have not experienced them running behind more than 15 minutes. I would recommend her to anyone.
I was surprised to read comments about long waits. My 3 kids and I have been going to her for years and the only time we've had a long wait is when we've been added on last minute. Also she did have a few rude women working in the office a few years back but it seems to be all new staff. The rude nurse is still there but Dr Merwick is great so it's worth it.
Dr Merwick is very knowledgeable and communicates that kowledge in a very clear and straightforward manner. She has treated me, members of my family and my friends for several years - all recommend her to others on a routine basis - the highest form of praise.
Never on time. Doesn't listen to patient. Doesn't seem to care.
