The Patio Pancake Place originally opened as a drive-in restaurant on June 24, 1964. It was very high tech for those days. There were speakers in the parking lot which customers could place their order and then wait for their order to be delivered. All without leaving your car ! "The Patio" was first and foremost a breakfast and lunch restaurant, specializing in pancakes. The homemade pancake batter recipe, made fresh each day, is still the same as in 1964. The varied soups and the many desserts are also made daily.

Incredible little diner in Salida. Clearly a local hangout. Cheap eats and huge portions.
#1 with gluten free pancakes...very generous portion of hash browns! Best of Salida for while now!
Cinnamon roll with PB frosting is delish. Our go-to breakfast spot in Salida. Love it.
The Frankie Burrito is awesome. The half order is the same size as a regular breakfast burrito.
