Dr. Reading is thorough, caring, and smart. I've seen her for many years.
Dr. Reading is a very nice person and gave me a very thorough examination. She recommended very useful tests for my concerns and she seemed to have looked under every stone to sort my problem out.
My wife had a stroke on 6/19/2022. As part of her follow up we made an appointment with Dr. Patience Reading. It took multiple calls to begin with just to get the appointment. Even tough my wife just had a stroke the doctor could not see her until today, September 8th. Her appointment was at 8:00 AM. We left our house in Round Rock at 7:15 leaving us 45 minutes to get there. Enroute, there was a traffic accident on 1 South that caused us to be 10 minutes late. My wife was refused service and told she would need to make a new... read more

It was my first visit. In my opinion, it violates the Hippocratic oath to take care of patients with memory and organizational issues and then enforce a zero-tolerance 10-minute late policy. Such a policy counters good care. I was early, went to the wrong entrance, called to inform the office but got a voicemail. I traveled 50 minutes, waited three months for the appointment, was 15 minutes late, and had to reschedule. That's a cruel practice.
Drove 1 1/2 hours to get to her office with my 91 year old mother. They did not tell me her office was in the hospital and all the entrances were closed except pediatric emergency. Naturally, after going through temp checks and around past the lobby to get to her office, waited in line to check in only to be told Dr has a hard 10 minute late rule and we missed it! Really?!? They need to tell new patients what to expect and how to get in or show some mercy.
Great doctor but horrible front office
met Dr. Reading when she had her own private practice. Walked in with a condition no meds or other doctors could figure out, after days of very painful testing. And she figured it out in one visit, that Very Day. And to my even Greater surprise even knew how to get it fixed. Totally "AMAZING" for that time. Now decades later I have need of her assistance again. After 2yrs of No Help... I am hoping she can do once again what many others never have even tried to do... render actual aide. I HAVE FAITH THAT SHE STILL CAN AND WIL... read more
I am the patient's wife and I accompanied my husband to his visit with Dr. Reading. I am so impressed and pleased with how my husband has benefited from his consult with this special doctor. So many of my husband' concerns were addressed and his concerns were deminished. He has been relieved of many of his fears and embarrassments.

Thank you for taking a moment to share such kind words. We will be sure to recognize the team for exceeding expectations!
I have not met a neurologist as professional and likeable as Dr. Reading. I have some complex issues and Dr. Reading was able to discuss each one and make very sppropriate recommendations. She is a good listener, and answers every question with useful information She clearly knows this specialty. Couldn't be more satisfied.
