Blood work nurse's don't know about diagnosis code. They get confused and they are so rude with babies. I stopped them they aren't nice.
Emergency room absolutely atrocious . Brought my 84 year old mom there for severe headaches. Seen by triage nurse who seemed irritated we were even there. Then sent to waiting room where we sat for almost 4 hrs. No one ever checked on her, no offer for pain medication. Wow, this hospital should be one of the best on all of Long Island—with the best doctors, nurses, and cleanliness—but sadly, it isn't. As you can see, the ER is a disgusting, filthy mess, and the patient rooms are exactly the same. The nurses, doctors, and entire staff at this disgusting place (Stony Brook University Hospital) are terrible. I have to say I am beyond disappointed on how my experience was. I came to the ER after I’ve had debilitating mid back pain and also being patient with prior lumbar fusions. You get registered and wait in a room for a while as no one tells you where you are. Then your sent out and then brought into the ER waiting to be seen. Not once did anyone ask is there anything I can do to make you comfortable like a pillow or a blanket. Then an MRI is ordered and told we only have 1 MRI machine.
