The staff simply had to send the doctor notes to the insurance company to get a CT approved & they blamed the insurance company on the hold up when the hold up was on their end - they canceled my scheduled CT at the hospital thus prolonging a CT when dr pathapati said I had a blockage in the colon which had prevented me to get urgent care ( absence of a bowel movement for 14 days ) they then wanted to a colonoscopy instead & an EGD because they said insurance wouldn’t cover which insurance said they would cover they just nee... read more
Dr was through in explanation of procedure. Office staff, woman who answers phone particularly, is horrible. I cancelled my procedure because she was not very helpful. Too bad, this could have been as good an experience as it could have been all things considered.
Terrible doctor. He didn't want to listen at all and quickly scheduled a procedure without even knowing symptoms. (He has interest in facility). That was futile. He said I should go to a therapist in Dallas to "learn how to teach your brain to defecate properly" - like some sort of toilet psychology. I thought he was joking. Uh, no thanks. Does he have some interest in that too?? Anyways, I was blown away at his level of incompetence. We got a second opinion and it turns out is was just ulcers!
He is THE WORST. Listen to all of the other reviews here and RUN. He completely dismissed my previous diagnosis, which I had years of medical records and tests to prove. He told me it was all in my head, which was the exact same thing he told the person in the next room, and my disease must have magically "gone away" without even doing a single test. He is completely incompetent and I should've walked out.
Will not be returning to this office. Was sent home after a visit with a diagnosis of a pulled muscle. Went to the ER and they found a blood clot, should have just went there in the first place and saved myself a lot of pain and frustration.
Went in presenting with severe abdominal and back pains, nauseous low grade fever diarrhea unable to eat without having spasms, significant weight loss. Had been to ER 4 days prior to, sent for test to check gallbladder. Dr. Pathapati came in the room with a confrontational attitude, was extremely argumentative refused to listen to symptoms with every comment I made he came back with a ridiculous diagnosis from depression to shingles to it's all in my head. Will never set go back.
Completely ignored from beginning why I was there, walked out of room twice, diagnosed me with c-diff but didn't do colonoscopy to see how bad- cancelled it. 2 weeks later being in pain he says my problem is depression and anxiety! Still ignored my symptoms, filled out my work leave papers wrong, diagnosed me with a pulled muscle. Had colonoscopy/EGD done, discharge papers showed hiatal hernia- he never mentioned it, only said found/removed polyp. I give him 0 stars!!
