I have SLE Lupus. I live 6 hours away from in NYC to see a specialist at the Lupus Center in Manhattan due to my complications and severe allergies to medications. While staying in Queens I got sick called 911 and brought to the closest hospital Jamaica Hospital Medical Center. My brother was brought into Jamaica Hospital by ambulance. Dr. Nilesh Patel was assigned to him. Dr. Nilesh Patel went above and beyond all my expectations. He was extremely knowledgable, compassionate and quickly assessed my brothers situation and got him on the mend for a timely manor discharge. Me being in Florida and my brother in Queens was not an easy situation but Dr. Nilesh Patel kept in close contact with me and I felt 100% confident my brother was in excellent hands.
