He saved my life diagnosed me within hours when I was in the hospital came to check on me everyday. I was in the hospital for 44 days and he never gave up on me even when everyone else was ready to put me in a nursing home.
Refused to come to Allen Memorial Hospital on the evening of June 5, 2020, after I was admitted to the hospital for tests and an overnight stay, because of what turned out to be nothing more than a stress (caused by the contempt of ungrateful people like his wife, who verbally and in other ways, abused me and otherwise treated me, I realize now, even before she was my doctor, as if I am some kind of "untouchable". I’ve never come across a physician who was more rude and dismissive than this man. See a different neurologist.
Awesome doctor. Really listens and truly cares about my epilepsy and my anesthesia dolorosa.
Had EMG at Elyria Hospital this am. Dr. Patel did not introduce himself to me or my husband. He did not explain procedure. He verbalized some unintelligible words during procedure He did not ask if I had concerns or questions. Patricia Peter MSN RN(ret)
Dr. Patel is very knowledgeable. I suffered for over 15yrs with a rare motor neuron disease. Saw about 5 different neurologists with no answer. I was referred to Dr. Patel in 2015 and within a couple months I had a diagnosis. I'm grateful to him and all he has done to try to improve the quality of my life.
He is wonderful! I was first diagnosed by the CC Mellen Center with MS. Then, other things started happening. My current doc dismissed it since it was not MS related. I switched to Dr. Patel and after putting me through multiple tests, he also diagnosed me with Narcolepsy and Seizure Disorder. He is very kind and compassionate. He explains everything. I recently spent 6 days in the hospital for a relapse (unable to walk). He came every day to see me, check my progress, and to encourage me.
Dr. Patel was patient, kind, knowledgeable, and caring. I saw him in the hospital for a possible neuro condition I went to the ER for and it turned out to be anxiety. He patiently explained how the brain works with anxiety states and how the testing showed that everything was negative for a neuro condition. He is an excellent Doctor who deserves better reviews than what he has received on this site. Dr. Patel is busy, He may not be "warm and fuzzy," but trust me, you want him on your case.
