there are a variiety of wig stores in Austin,however non can compare to Pat Painters Wigs they are truly professional people who care. They try different style and colors until you find what you like without rushing you they teach you how to put them on and the washing and care of the wigs I have had to have my hair clipped several times and they do it with a smile and do not charge extra. Pat the owner greets you personally and make you feel so at home highly recommend them

I was so glad to find out that Bonnie left Pat Painter's years ago. She was my stylist and was not only knowledgeable but a very compassionate person. I was lucky to bump into an old client of hers and told me that she has been at Abba Wigs off of Kramer St. I found her and glad I did. If you want an honest, excellent stylist Bonnie is the one to go see at her new home, Abba Wigs, what a great selection.

Bonnie Friedman, the heart and soul of Pat Painter's Hairpiece has left the building! I was disappointed when I stopped in at Pat Painter's last week with a friend who was needing a wig. I raved about Bonnie and we showed up and found out that Bonnie no longer works there. After much digging I did find Bonnie working at ABBA WIGS on Kramer Ln in Austin. YAY!!!!!!!!! Bonnie and Staff at Pat Painter's ROCK! – I was diagnosed with breast cancer in March 2009. Having survived another type of cancer 19 years ago, I was no stranger to the protocol. Thank you for bringing laughter & fun into this rough time – I walked into Pat Painter's with my dear friend Linda to have my head shaved. Neither Linda nor I were quite sure what to expect. Understanding, professional stylists and large "in stock" inventory of reasonably priced wigs. – The staff at Pat Painter's wig shop was very helpful and understanding of my hair loss problem. The professional stylist was able to cut and style my new wig to customize it to my head, neck and face. When Bonnie was through it looked very natural and not like a "hair hat".
