Without going into any detail, I will just say that we have never experienced anything close to the disdain leveled at us by the doctor and head ER nurse, who hurled insults as we exited the building (glass houses, lady). Unless what you need is a very expensive slap in the face, go elsewhere.
I underwent ankle surgery, and was so impressed with all the staff! My surgeon, anesthesiologist, and outpatient staff were exceptional. I can’t recommend AMC enough!
RecommendedI always have an amazing experience in Labor & Delivery. I had my daughter 4 years ago and my son a week ago! The nurses and, of course, the midwives/doctors are truly amazing. Two nurses that stood out to me were Shannon and Lauren. They went above and beyond for my son, my husband and I during our stay. I loved them! I can’t imagine having my babies at any other hospital! Love Augusta Health L&D!
my endoscopy was curtailed by a bleeding issue. Exercising caution They admitted me for observation overnight. The care and attention i got were excellent, all the staff i had contact with were efficient, attentive and personable. I was surprised to receive a follow up call from patient services today, never had that from any hospital. I see several very negative reviews on line, im sorry the authors didnt get treated by my care team. Yes i recommend Augusta and i would rate this experience 5 stars
wait times for the emergency room are ridiculous. my husband waited over 2 hours in the waiting room and when taken back, he waited another 2 1/2 and no one but the nurse came back to get vitals when he was taken back. Never saw a doctor so we left. Next time he'll go to UVA or Rockingham Memorial. I will not ever take him back to this hospital even though we live local.
I am currently sitting in the waiting room going on an hour, and NOBODY has gone back, but they've wheeled out ( I counted)6 people. I am so over this place!!! the worst service I've ever received. I'm pregnant for crying out loud, at least I should be a priority!! y'all should of taken all the millions of dollars spent remodeling, and applied on pay checks so maybe the services would be better. y'all are HORRIBLE!!! EMBARRASSMENT TO OUR COMMUNITY. WE CAN DEFINITELY TELL ITS A PRIVATELY OWNED HOSPITAL!!! ALL ABOUT MONEY.
Instead of spending so much money on mortar and stone you need to spend the big bucks on staff education and humility, customer service training -You have no heart and no concern for the patient, so sad. I look for help and healthCARE when I have to go to Augusta Health but leave feeling like my life just doesn't matter. Disgusting.
