Food was phenomenal. The hours were a bit confusing when we arrived, but it all got sorted out and the owner was very kind and enthusiastic. Pastry crust was unreal and the fillings were all flavorful and hearty! We will absolutely be back to try the breakfast sandwich, since they were out when we visited. Looking forward to the next trip into Knox for this!

Pastelito’s is such an adorable little family-owned Cuban bakery in Bearden. It’s spacious enough but simultaneously cozy, with welcoming employees who are happy to explain their food and culture. On the entirety of Highway 70 from Arizona to the Atlantic Ocean, which I was conquering when I rolled into town, this is one of the three highest rated bakeries. Now that’s saying something! Moved up here from Florida near Tampa 15 years ago. Have been dying to find a place that makes authentic Cuban sandwiches. I've tried a couple and they were nowhere near what they were supposed to be. Just went to pastelitos and had a Cuban sandwich, authentic authentic authentic.
