Pasta Da Pulcinella

4.4

About this business

This often crowded restaurant does not provide much in the way of peaceful dining, but the Italian is some of the best in the city. Sometimes cozy, sometimes frantic, the dining room is decorated with traditional Italian items, and as the name suggests, clowns. Traditional Italian is the rage here, as well as some surprising twists, such as the special risotto and the wide variety of ravioli. You must wait in line to place your order, which can be tedious during peak hours, but the food is well worth it.

Would be a nice place if it weren't for the food... – I realy like this little building, it's cute, the staff is friendly, and it has a nice atmosphere... I would just hope they would make their food as good as it sounds... It is really done poorly . The gnocchi were mashed, the pesto tasted like grass... The salad had too much dressing and it was not Italian - a simple balsamic vinegar and olive oil dressing that you can pour yourself would be so much better. The tagliatelle with rapini had too much garlic and were pretty o... read more

OK – A whole lot better places to eat in midtown. Haven't been in a while. No need to go back. Lots more to try in midtown.

My favorite Restaurant – This is the best kept secret in Midtown. The atmosphere is wonderful in the quaint little bungalow but the best part is the amazing food. The Mele is phenominal but the raviolli with the walnut sauce has been my favorite for years. I discovered the restaurant when they were on Peachtree. The atmosphere improved with the transfer but so did the prices. A meal for three w/ salads and no alcoholic beverages will cost you about $100. I would eat here more often if I didn't break the bank everytime. You w... read more

Great Food - Horrible Service – My girlfriend and I had dinner here last weekend. The food was really good and the wine was excellent. However, the service (if you call it service at all) sucked. We had reservations and we go seated right away, but then we waited about 10 - 15 minutes and nobody came to our table. We had to grab the hostess and she took our drink order. Then the waiter came over about 5 minutes after that and took our food order and told us the drinks were almost ready. The Caesar salad and both of our entré... read more

"Near God" Tortelli di Mele – Pasta da Pulcinella is a perfect low-key Italian spot. Located on Peachtree Walk, it's a great find in a location that's slightly off the beaten path but still very much in Midtown. The menu is concise and offers a nice range of Italian dishes. However, there's one dish that stands out on the menu: in the words of my boyfriend, the Tortelli di Mele is a "God-like" experience. The ravioli coupled with apple, sausage, and brown butter is out of this world. This is the only spot in town that I've e... read more

The food was great, and the cozy home-like dining room was relaxing.

Original Version Better – Pasta Da Pulcinella has lost the charm and value of the original on Peachtree Street. I'm frankly surprised that it has survived in its current higher-end concept.

Quaint Italian restaurant dishes out homemade pasta for a comfortable, casually romantic night out. – The Scene Low lighting, an unhurried pace and muffled voices create an atmosphere for lingering over dinner in this Midtown bungalow. Small wooden tables freckle the dining room, achieving intimate seating. Service can be spotty and not suited for anyone who's anxious to dine and go. The Food Known for its fresh, reasonably priced pasta dishes, the kitchen prefers subtle flavors over bolder tastes. Many dishes are vegetarian... read more
