I was assigned a lawyer to help me with my simple divorce, with a legal aid certificate as I'm a full-time student and single mom. Met with lawyer in early April. Needed my divorce filed on May 21. 4 days before the filing, and 5 minutes before the office closed for the Victoria Day long weekend, I got an email that my lawyer was leaving the firm and I'd need a new one.
