my daughter has been there 2 weeks and has self-harmed more times than in the last 2 month of living here at home! When I vocalized my concerns the staff in general doesn't seem to know what's going on. Even her therapist has no clue, and when I was told they wanted to give my daughter a medication for depression, one that her regular DR said could escalate her suicidal ideation, I told them not to give it to her and why, The Parry center dr threatened me with medical neglect!
If I could give them zero stars I could. My child was there for a month and I am glad I was able to pull her out. The bathrooms are a mess, the staff did nothing to help my child. The "Therapy groups" were not even therapy groups. They were putting other kids in holds while my child had to watch which was very tramuatizing for her and Parry is supposed to help kids with their truama. My daughter was here for 6 weeks and I was terrified to leave her there but it turned out to be life changing for her. She got the help she needed and diagnostic testing that we had tried to get for years. The counselors and psychiatrist are very qualified and helpful. The staff is caring and great at what they do. I am thankful for everything this facility did for my daughter and wouldn't want her to go anywhere else. It was a safe and effective place for her at that time in her life. Thank you
