~Our 1st visit here. There was a 20 minute wait which went by fast. Hubby & I were seated & service began immediately. The appetizers were really yummy(corn & crab soup & Eggplant Medallions) & cooked to perfection. Our meals consisted of the Bone-In Pork Chop & The Whole Shebang Seafood Plate. All were very delicious. I would recommend Parrain's to everyone!
This has been my favorite restaurant for years. The Shrimp, Crawfish & Crabmeat pasta is to die for!
The food wasn't hot! I didn't like the gumbo because there wasn't enough seafood in it!
Stopped here after leaving New Orleans. Yelp highly recommended this place. We ordered the sampler and the lump crab shrimp and sausage platter. The sampler platter was awful. The breading on the fish was soggy, the breaded oyster were soggy as well and had a very foul taste to them. The gumbo was very fishy tasting no other flavor. The pasta was at least semi edible. Recommended by a member of our hotel staff. Probably the best Cajun seafood we have ever had. Sat at the bar watching Austin grill oysters which were the best we've had bar none. Turtle soup also amazing which was followed by redfish covered with an andouille crust with crawfish etoufee. So good. Friendly staff and patrons who welcomed us northerners with open arms.
My girlfriend and I went for New Year's Eve. We had the boudin balls for an apatizer. They were great. Crisp and hot and the sauce was good. She got the hammerhead tea and it was really good and sweet. For the entree I got the andouille encrusted fresh fish with crawfish and mushroom covered in an andouille sauce with a side of broccoli and garlic mashed potatoes was damn good and cooked perfectly.
