Incredibly good. Best Cajun food I’ve ever eaten and the service was impeccable. If you’re in Baton Rouge, this is a place you have to try.
I got the raw oysters (half price Tuesdays) which were excellent. My addiction at Parrain’s is the grilled duck breast. It was pretty cooked medium rare with dirty rice and green beans. I’m not usually a big fan of green beans but these were saturated in garlic and I couldn’t stop eating them. The service was also excellent.
I was looking forward to a nice dinner with my son and Rebecca managed to make it a nightmare. We ordered drinks and appetizers. While waiting on our drinks and appetizers, Rebecca asked if we knew what we wanted for our entrees and we gave her our order. Well, our appetizers showed up soon after and before we could take a second bite our salads arrived. I generally get the same thing everytime I go, bacon wrapped BBQ shrimp ontop of sweet potato medallions. Yum. Got the raw oysters last night and was not disappointed. Very cold and flavorful.
Turtle soup & fish with sautéed crawfish was excellent! Top notch seafood!
This was our first visit.....The food was delicious the prices were great! Our waitress was amazing! If you have never been you're missing out!
Love this place. We live in Lookout, Georgia and each year plan our drive to Texas to leave at a time to arrive in time for dinner... so good. Best hush puppies ever... wonderful crab stuffed mushrooms... great stuffed shrimp, catfish and the grilled options are wonderful too... salad always fresh and crisp... Can’t say enough...
