I started going to the Parlour Salon, when my stylist did. For me its always been about finding the right stylist. Not so much the salon its self. Because a womens hair is very personal to her. Right? My Matron of honor & I both had our hair done at the parlour on my wedding day at the parlour. I had to pinch pennies being layed off. So I skipped a practice on our wedding hair. I had my hair colored/foiled and asked for a re-do, which I was charged \$45.00 forI had my hair done at this salon about 5 weeks ago. I called the same night and asked for a re-do as the highlights weren t bright enough and the low lights didn t even show up as it wasn t left in my hair long enough. I made an appointment for a week later (Wednesday). I received a call that Monday verifying my appointment for Tuesday.. I was like huh, thought my appointment was on Wednesday as scheduled .. great salon, better stylist!! I saw Sarah D. for the first time and LOVED her! Friendly, knowledgable, and gave me exactly what i wanted. She did my color and hair extensions and i am so happy. Nobody even knows i have them in, they look so natural. Very happy to have found this salon and even happier to have found my new stylist.
If I could give zero stars, I would. I got lured in by the 50% off color. I got a two color foil and cut ... Made the mistake of not asking how much. I walked out \$110 poorer. My hair cut is choppy and color is so so. Stylist did not do anything with my roots and 1-1/2 week later my grey roots are shining through ... And I am in need of another color. This salon is wonderful! I had one bad experience but it didnt stop me from going back! I am a hair stylist and it is really hard for me to find somone that will do what i am looking for! i was really pleased with my last visit Rachel H. was great! she was really personable and she was really confident! i will be going back for sure!
It is nice there but,,,I was quoted about \$90.00 less then I was charged. Was charged over \$160. for an all over foil and cut. That was after the 50% off coupon. Would have been \$190. ??? She could not give me a reciept because I paid cash. Also could not explain the charges separatly for me.
I am normally very easy to please, but I am really upset with this salon. Its is BEAUTIFUL and the stylist are wonderful, however they do NOT know how to use their computer system. I understand that computers are difficult, but if youre going to try to run a small business it helps when being rung out that you are not there 15 minutes longer then you want to be simply because they cant ring up your service. Wonderful salon! If you are looking to be pampered or "re-styled" this is definitely the place to go! I have been going to this shop since it opened in late 2007 and have always had exceptional service. It is beautiful inside and every one of the staff acts professionally and takes the utmost care with the clients. Getting your hair shampooed is amazing in the comfortable adjustable chairs. I would never consider changing salons...The Parlour is a definite asset in the Andover/Ham Lake area!
I dont usually complain but feel people should know what a painful experience I had. Stylist was so ROUGH the shampoo massage was painful, she pulled my hair throughout the color and cut. She burned my head with the hair dryer and left horrible scratches on my neck after shaving it. We agreed to go shorter with the lengh but she never asked how short and proceeded to take 3 inches off. When you have shoulder lengh hair, 3 inches is alot...I guess I should have been more specific :) I think the owner should have each stylist ... read more
