My mother is in this facility, she does not have a personal phone in her room i.e. a landline, she doesn’t answer her cell phone however, when you call the front desk and the nurses station, they put you on hold. Then they send you to a voicemail, which I’m quite sure will never read. I sent her socks a week and a half ago and I’m not quite sure that she received them. This hospice facility was a nightmare for my family and my grandfather during the most vulnerable time of his life. What should have been compassionate end-of-life care was instead neglectful, disorganized, and deeply traumatic. Staff were inattentive and slow to respond while my grandfather was visibly uncomfortable, restless, and declining.
