They have a pattern of wrongfully withholding $300–800 from nearly every tenant’s security deposit — often blaming “bathtub reglazing” or “floor damage requiring full tile replacement.” It doesn’t matter how clean you leave the unit or how careful you’ve been; they’ll find something to charge you for. This apartment has major pest problems- rats and roaches for my unit specifically, and the management is incompetent. So yeah, literally and metaphorically close to Manhattan!
My family and I have a Section 8 voucher and went through months of communication with Vanessa and Laura (the property manager) just to get approved. The inspection was completed on September 25, 2025, and we were scheduled to move in on October 1, 2025. After all that, Laura suddenly decided she wanted to “verify our income” again even though Section 8 had already verified everything, including our ability to pay utilities and any extra costs.
