Treat reviews here with extreme scepticism. I think some commenters are confusing this lab, which is part of the Ottawa Hospital, with the private Bio-Test lab in the basement of the medical building across the street. For example, I know of no evidence that the lab is run by Dynacare (the staff are Ottawa Hospital phlebotomists), and with the layout, no one could even know if the phlebotomists were "on the phone" ignoring them, though that would be obvious at the private lab. Remember to take a number. Arrive early, paid parking can be a challenge. Afternoons seem to be best. Can be crowded. Lab now run by DynaCare. They try.
Avoid at all costs. Parking is terrible. I arrived took a ticket and waited for 15 minutes for staff to get off their phones despite being the only one in the waiting room. Tech couldn’t find a vein and poked several times. Look for another lab.
The first time my experience was less than satisfactory. On the day of my visit that was before last Friday, the staff was unprofessional in treating the patients and even worse in entering the data in the system. It took long time and I left to do the blood test somewhere else.
