I had gender affirming surgery with Dr Nguyen at the end of July. The surgeon herself is a wonderful person, don’t get me wrong, but the nursing and front desk staff were condescending and repeatedly misgendered me alongside feminising my name. Firstly, they think I'm stupid enough to think my doctor is texting me after 1am on a Sunday. Secondly, they're so greedy that they wake me up to market to me. My doctor is a good man but his inconsiderate overlords see me only as a conduit for my insurance card and wallet.
