As a former resident of Newburyport, I can say I miss a lot of the shops and restaurants. I really miss having delicious fried clams. Yes, I drove almost two hours to have them. The atmosphere is "pub" and the crowd is slightly older. A clue that people on a tighr budget go there because the food is great. And affordable. The bartenders and servers are always friendly. The place is always busy. Highly recommended the Park Lunch. All of the food is good. And you will leave satisfied and happy. Or happier. Enjoy.
Going there for over 40 years ! Never been disappointed! Had the fried clams Thursday night and as usual outstanding! It's not just the clams it's everything, quality, quantity , variety, prices, services,and the draft beer 🍻 we go out a lot and this place is one of my favorites 😋
First timers to this place, Tuesday night. Party of 4, seated right away at 5:30, so that was good. Two of us had chicken parm, not great, breaded patties, not fresh. One had lasagne, just ok. Hubby had fried clams, nowhere near as good as Choats in Ipswich, hands down!! 3 of us had drinks, no offer for another round. No offer of bread with Italian meals. Lots of locals at the bar. Would not return. Just "mediocre."
Best fried clams you'll ever eat!! Highly recommend �
It was excellent! Price, food, and service!! It has been a family favorite for years.
