I am writing regarding the “therapeutic” swims offered at this facility. My dog’s orthopedic surgeon recommended post‑surgical swim therapy, and I brought him to Paradise Pet Lodge because they advertised this service on their website. He required structured, therapeutic swimming to strengthen his surgical leg due to muscle atrophy. After approximately six weeks, one of the individuals described as a “therapist” told me that my dog only needed “fun” swims instead of therapy. The boarding facilities for cats are very sad. The "penthouse" is a room with tiny enclosures - on the floor the litter box, water and food bowls are next to each other. The cats can move only vertically on shelves mounted on the wall. They won't take the cats out of the enclosure unless you pay for activities ($10 for 10 minutes).
