best dive bar I know. drinks are usually pretty strong

I appreciate this bar for being one of the last existing dive bars in downtown Madison to go to if you want to get away from the annoying college scene but be downtown. Food prices are cheap and they have decent lunch specials as well. Drinks are strong and the bartenders are friendly. It’s kind of like the Wisco but in the heart of downtown.
one bartender, blake, yelled slurs at my friends and kicked them out, and another bartender defended him
A friend of mine was sexually harassed at The Paradise. Instead of supporting her, the bartender was verbally aggressive towards my friend and defended the man. I am disgusted by this response and will not be returning The Paradise until/unless the establishment effectively repairs the harm already done and prevents this from happening in the future.
Best dive bar in Madison.
