Stopped by for lunch during a layover and had an amazing great experience, good food, great staff and a lovely atmosphere.
Chaz was a great waiter. Excellent service and recommendations. We shared 3 plates, the Trout and crab, the shrimp etouffee, and the blackened catfish and shrimp. The blackened fish and shrimp was the best. Great flavor, great texture. The garlic beard was a surprise hit. Crispy yet tender bread, great topping/seasoning. We loved it all. Best food in DFW airport. Make sure to go to the location at terminal A, gate A24. I ordered a salad before, with salmon, and it was amazingly large and delicious.
You can never go wrong at Pappadeaux. slightly biased because I worked at a location when I was younger, but dang their food is amazing. It is overpriced in the airport but what isnt. You can't go wrong with basically a thing. However, id avoid the crazy drinks and get a normal one. Beers are big and worth it. Dirty rice is my favorite. I usually get fried or blackened seafood and the seafood gumbo.
