I recently did makeup for the Abby Z fashion show, for fashion week. Panyc happened to be the stylist that she used. The hair was so awesome and the staff was amazing. They were all really nice, quite talented and did funky, retro and modern styles. they were lots of fun.
Joy! – Never been to a salon so welcoming, pleasant and proffesional at the same time. I've been getting my hair done there for the past year and enjoyed it each time. JC is an unbelievable hair-master, I let him do whatever he wants with my hair and he never fails me. Another great bonus is that sweet dog, Peanut, who goes around the clients, entertaining them and making sure everyone is pleased! in other words - DO!
User review by alexiarose – I've been getting my hair cut at Panyc since I moved to the city in 2002, and Paulie always does a fantastic job, whether it's a trim or a new 'do. The last time I was in, he listened patiently while I complained about how I was fed up with my life, then snipped 3+ years' worth of black dye out of my hair, gave me a damn cute haircut, and made me a redhead. Best haircut (and color!) I've had in ages!
Go to this salon now! – This salon is an absolute gem. There is zero, repeat, zero pretentiousness, which is a rare find in New York. I have super curly hair and JC cuts it perfectly, but the salon is also very straight hair-friendly. Marylou is the resident color doyenne, Chris did a cut for a guy today that was shaggy-hipness and Paulie makes everyone feel at home. Is this place for real? Yes -- go there now!
Panyc restored my confidence in salons – After trying a million different salons in New York and never being satisfied- I finally found Panyc. Not only is the staff fun, hillarious and amazingly talented but for the first time in my life I have hair that people notice. complete strangers have complemented me on my hair along with all my friends. thank you Panyc.
Loved Panyc – I went to check out Panyc after reading good reviews here on Citysearch and my hair turned out great. Paulie did a fabulous job on my long layers and I had a really fun time chatting it up with everyone in a casual atmosphere. Someone waiting for their cut even said "can you cut my hair like hers?" I'll definitely go back. Head on over and tell them Shell sent you!
Just around the corner – The staff is very friendly and helpful. JC cut my hair, and I told him to do whatever he wanted. It looks great, and people keep telling me how hot I look. Oh, and the little dog, Peanut, is addorable!
Little Gem – PANYC was recommended to me and I started going to have my hair highlighted and cut about 2 years ago. Paul and Mary Lou are miracle workers and you will have a difficult time finding more skilled stylists in NYC -especially at their prices. It's an "everyone knows your name" type salon and it's always an enjoyable experience.
Fantastic!! – When I first moved to NYC I lucked out and found a great salon on my first try, PANYC!! The staff is knowledgable, creative, and friendly. I have long straight hair and never know what to do and yet whenever I leave there I leave with a fresh, stylish cut that makes me happy. I can not recommend Panyc enough.
