This was my pup's first time at the salon, and he was shaking and so nervous. I was tempted to take him home but I decided to go through with it and leave him. I got little updates about a friend who works there and she made him feel so comfortable! I instantly felt at ease and when I came to pick him up, he was the happiest he's been in a while! The best dog grooming salon in Charlottesville. Friendly, kind, knowledgeable owners and staff. Our Airedale actually likes going there when at other places we had to drag her in. The selection of specialty skin-care shampoos is a plus and our dog always looks and feels great after she's been there.
I've taken my dog to several groomers. I have to say, the care and communication that I've experienced here was the absolute best. Star was the worst she's ever been, they were quick and loving. I did not hear how badly she was in regards to how matted she was. They simply took her in and did their best. There were no stray ends on her at all. She is now ready for the hot days ahead. She looks GREAT!! I think we've found her grooming home now. Thank you so very much. We will return next month, I'm happy to say.
I wasn't sure what to think. I was concerned about the customer who wrote that the spa smelled like cigarettes. Took my 8-month-old Springer Spaniel/Poodle mix for his first haircut. Julie met me to talk about what I wanted. She was patient, understanding, and showed me photos of dog cuts. There was no cigarette smell. For me, that would have been a turn-off. Our pup had to be muzzled to be dried. That was okay with me. He has problems with new sounds, and they did it for his good. We'll be loyal customers from now on.
I have been a client of Pantops Pet Salon for more than 12 years. I love my dogs as if they were my children, and I have nothing but glowing praise for this establishment. I have always found P.P.S. clean and the staff friendly, kind, and knowledgable. My dogs have always been treated with respect, as have I, and I highly recommend Pantops Pet Salon to anyone with fur babies who want the most professional care and quality service.
