We stayed just one night on our road trip, but we're very impressed. We had a lovely stream and waterfall on the back of our large and flat lot. The family size bath/shower rooms were amazing, and the 1st I've seen. It was awesome to be able to lock yourself into your own private space. The view of Cherokee Lake was beautiful. I wish it was close to home. I'd come back often.
Sure, there are parts of the park’s renewal that are still works in progress. The attitude and enthusiasm of the staff, however, more than make up for any shortcomings. Manager Jackie Fischer seems hell bent for leather to make this the most memorable camping experience in the state. It’ll happen. Soon.
Heritage Days was great and everyone was amazing!! From the tomahawk throw to the music, bounce houses and crafts it was a beautiful day at the park!!!
Awesome park. Great Heritage day festival. Our band Wild Blue Yonder had a super time performing at this awesome festival. One of our very favorite state parks, we just love it !
