Specialties Located on Cherokee Reservoir in the historic Holston River Valley, this 1,445-acre park is six miles west of Morristown. It is named for nearby Panther Creek Springs, a pioneer landmark. A 1,460-foot ridge provides a panoramic view of the East Tennessee Ridge and Valley region. Bird watchers gather at this high vantage point to observe migrating hawks and waterfowl. Camping, swimming and picnicking are available.

My home away from home! I love this park! Walk my dogs here almost daily. Plenty of trails to with lake views for hiking.
Very nice park with amazing facilities! The bath houses in the campground are the best I have ever seen! Lots of things for people of all ages to do! One of my favorite state parks!
I wish it had cabins I've stayed like three times here won't stay again because there are 30 more state parks I want to see in two years here in tn I've stayed 5 times at big ridge and Davy Crockett birthplace and Pickett is by far my favorite so far.
