I stopped by Panera yesterday, and honestly, it was complete chaos. It wasn’t very busy when I walked in, but shortly after, a busload of people came in. I placed my order before they even arrived, yet it still took over 20 minutes to get a simple half sandwich and soup. The kitchen area looked completely disorganized — staff seemed overwhelmed, and everyone waiting for food was crowded around the pickup counter asking where their orders were. The food was great the atmosphere was great on the inside. As we walked in there was a man who seemed to be confused in his mind and was talking to himself. He came in that was a little scary. But the employees did a perfect job in helping him. The reason why I put one star in service was there was only the person up front taking our order. One thing to know about this Panera that you don't usually see at a Panera is the amount of panhandlers that hang around the parking lot asking for a handout either by trying to sell you some nonsense you don't need or know what it is, or claiming they need gas like the guy walking around with the gas can running up to people at their vehicles. Not good for business.
