Great Restaurant! – Panda is a great restaurant at a great price. The food is very good-- American style Chinese food, but they do thier dishes very well. The best part is the service, which is why we go back constantly. The service quality is the level of the most expensive restaurants in town, so you get a great restaurant experience at a really good price. You will never see the bottom of your iced tea glass! Moo shu is great here, so are the steamed dumpings. Also, very easy for groups!
Good Chinese; Reliable – For good, reliable Chinese food inside the Loop (there's better Chinese in Southwest Houston), go here! Ask for their "Frequent Diner" card, which is available upon request for a free meal after a number of stamps. My favorite is the Hunan Shrimp & Scallops. The shrimp and scallops are large and plump, and the sauce is very good (not thick and overly sweet like some of the cheaper imitations). My fiance's favorite is the crispy, sweet, & white-meat-only Sesame Chicken. Yum!
Outstanding Food and Service! – This is my favorite chinese food in the city. I have been to all of the other local chinese restaurants, and this one blows them away. The delivery is always extremely prompt, and whenever I dine in, i always leave quite satisfied.
Not as good as it used to be! – Panda Garden (on Weslayan) used to be our favorite chinese restaurant. Then they began changing their recipes, subsituting cheaper, less tasty vegetables and other ingredients in our favorite dishes. They've excluded water chestnuts from all their dishes, and one or our favorite dishes now is made with tons of squash instead of a tasty and colorfuly variety of veggies. Now we can't bear to eat there anymore.
