Ms I ate lunch at Poncho's today. What a treat! It had been several years since I had been there, but I was amazed at what I found. The food was outstanding-I had the traditional crunchy taco with their special taco sauce, and a beef enchilada. This tex-mex is fantastic. The restaurant was clean and neat, the service was impeccable and the price was right. Way to go Poncho's...for keeping a Memphis tradition alive and super good.
Best Hometown Mexican There Is! If you have never had a cup of Pancho's Cheese Dip from your local grocer, you don't know what you're missing. The restaurant food is just as yummy and is one of my favorites. To me, the food is more TexMex, but it is still good nonetheless. If you want to enjoy a Memphis tradition, please stop by. I would recommend the Shrimp Veracruz and of course the Cheese Dip.
This institution has been one of my favorite places for over 50 years. No one makes cheese and onion enchiladas like Panchos. Their mini taco salads and rice and beans got me through many long work days. Can’t believe they are closing to do dips. Sure hope they expand to enchiladas and such

food was excellent, service not so much
the food was very gross..I think it was spoiled.. also the chips were very tough to eat said they were going to make me some more but never brought us any more.. tamales very gross and smelled spoiled, the chicken burrito had an off taste.. maybe spoiled meat.. not a good place to go at all.. the only great thing was everybody was really nice.. just really bad food and took forever to get it..
