Tricia at the front desk is very rude and says that Dr. Thompson is too busy to help sign off on patient paperwork, even though the hold message is all about how they "care about your wellbeing" and "we're here for you" and "thank you for trusting us with your healthcare". I see Mary Jacobs her NP. She is fabulous. Always on time, explains to me the blood work and what it means. She takes time with me. I always feel that she has listened and cares.
Dr Thompson I only met once because I usually see Mary Jacobs the nurse practitioner. Dr Thompson was kind, I didn't have to wait and she even had the office call me the following week to check on me. Mary my NP there is fabulous! She takes time to explain to me what is going on with my health. She makes me feel very comfortable she has helped me take better control of my health. I have seen her interact with other patients and you can tell she actually knows who they are and CARES about them.
Excellent care and staff
I have the highest regard for Dr. Thompson. I am treated with respect, my questions are answered, and necessary referrals are promptly provided. I seldom wait for my appointments; phone calls are returned quickly. I can honestly say I've never seen a medical office with a more pleasant, efficient office staff.
I would never send my friends or family here. I needed a referral to a specialist and their referral person (Jamie, I think) hung up on me after being extremely rude. I'm a very patient person and I can put up with a lot, but this was the last straw. I've been with Dr. Thompson for years, but am now looking for another doctor.
I was with Dr. Thomson since her days working at the Sparrow annex near MSU. I saw only PA's for years and they were always nice and compassionate. I saw Dr. Thompson only once there, right before Sparrow discontinued providing a doctor at that location, and Dr. Thompson was very rude to me. I chalked it up to the Sparrow situation. I followed her to her current location and practice where I no longer saw PA's.
