Great school, teachers and programs. New baseball field is a great place to watch a game.
This place sucks. Always canceling classes. Or switching dates and times of classes which often causes scheduling conflicts. You have to wait extremely long to get any kind of support service. Their only redeeming feature is that some of their professors are great. However, they are constantly screwing you over and trying to squeeze as much money out of you as they can. I have three kids that either do or have gone there. The good is that some of the teachers are really good. Some of the councilors are also quite helpful. The bad is the administrative staff is pretty much useless. Most of the teachers are there for a paycheck and go through the motions of teaching. Even school leadership leaves much to be desired. Helped me get what I needed for grad school. But what I really don't appreciate is that the career counselors NEVER informed me that I could become a "professional anarchist" or "professional protestor." There was absolutely NO coursework outlined for that career choice, which I think is a disservice to our society! You should all be ashamed of yourselves!
I like Palomar. This semester however, I ran into some snags. The class was moved from one building clear across campus to another building. The room is now tiny and cramped. The teacher was a last minute fill in. He seems a bit overwhelmed and very scattered. He is a little hard to understand, and reminds me of the absent minded professor. Very nice personality though.
