RecommendedMy favorite Mexican restaurant back in San Antonio
My aunt highly recommend this place for us since we are visiting from out of town. Unfortunately we didn’t feel welcomed by the hostess. She literally question our presence..”how can I help you” (with a tone) were her exact words as if we were lost or in the wrong place. We told her we needed a table for two preferably outside. A couple came right after us & her attitude towards them was more friendly. I must say that our server did an awesome job & her welcoming presence didn’t make us want get up & leave.

We found this restaurant through the Allergy Eats app. They have a gluten-free and paleo menu. My son and I enjoyed a fantastic dinner that was both gluten and dairy free. No nut worries here either. The sense of confidence I felt in the staff relieved the stress of traveling with an allergy kiddo, plus he got to experience flavors of southern Mexico. A hundred times happy.
The hosting staff was rude and their attitude was severely poor. We waited for a long time while other parties were seated as soon as they walked in even without any reservations. We felt extremely disrespected. The host staff ruined the whole experience from the moment we walked in the door.
I went for the 1st time yesterday. the food was really good and the staff was friendly! I would go again!
I go only for weekend Brunch and always order the Chiliqueles Distrito Federal Which is thin cut rib eye, refried frijoles y chiliquiles.... I ALWAYS tell wonderful waitperson I want it HOT...., not warm !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EVERY SINGLE TIME ...... food barely warm....? Every time...., I send it back......!!!!!! It’s DELICIOUS .... THEN.... MANAGER: ??????

Our favorite San Antonio authentic Mexican spot! And having Raul working there now makes it even a better place to enjoy when we visit San Antonio!
