Palo Alto junior zoo This is a wonderful place to take the kids for a couple of hours to visit their favorite animlas. Its not really as large as a zoo or have many animals. But its a grat way to spend the afternoon, especially with a toddler. Admissions is also free, so its lack of exhibits are fine. Its really educational for little children and they have fun too. check it out.. its pretty fun and its free!!
Palo Alto Junior Museum and Zoo My youngest daughter really loves to go here and see everything. It is a bit small, but they have plenty for the litle ones. We enjoy the different exhibits that they have and usually plan our trips around that.

Great free fun for the kids I take my kids here when we have the rare free morning or afternoon. It's not a huge zoo - it has small animals, but if your kids are preschool age, bigger animals can be scary. Inside, there is a lot to do and touch. Donations suggested, but not required.
Great trip for the grandkids. They have interactive exhibits, climbing challenges and a kid size zoo. You an easily spend 2-3 hours here.
Great place to take your kids / grandkids. They have both indoor and outdoor exhibits. Unfortunately is will be closed for remodeling sometime in 2017 for several months.
Editorial Review – Free museum and zoo (though donations are appreciated) features activity-based educational exhibits, a collection of native and exotic animals and an array of on-site and outreach classes, camps and workshops.

Fun place to take lower elementary students to There are a lot of hands-on things for the energetic hands to try out. The zoo is not huge, but it's cute and enchanting for the little ones. They offer many classes and they do birthday parties, too.
